Back at it

edit:this is where we woke up on morning one, not too shabby

I have been delaying a post since we returned. New Zealand was incredible and I wish we had more time there. The hikes were epic, the food was incredible, the wine was outstanding, and the country is beyond breathtaking. I am glad that we took this trip and I can say that NZ is the best country that I have visited to date. I would move there in a heartbeat if they would take us.

All that said, I would say that anyone planning to attend SSWC10 on the north island, plan on a long trip or don't even bother going. I can say that the riding there, albeit celebratory and fun, will not be the highlight of your trip. We didn't even go to the north island (the lesser of the two according to everyone on the south island of course) and we still could not see as much as we wanted. It is good to have up to date info from people who have traveled there recently so be sure to put forth the due dil on this trip. It would be very easy to waste a lot of time if you didn't have a plan and backup plans for all your plans as we quickly learned. Weather and from what I hear, crowds during peak season, make it easy to get off track. and all that said, it was f'en amazing, did I say that yet?

I am working on a slide show for friends and family and will post it here. Hopefully everyone has been enjoying the autumn weather. More soon ws

Nice, thanks for sharing. I was really close to going there once when I was in the submarine force but a storm rolled in and that was that. I plan on going sometime in the future, hopefully soon.
