where oh where...

Efforts to post have been non-existent as of late. The schedule has been quite full and even though I have been busy, it feels like I'm torching days like the stock market torches 401ks. Weeks just keep blowing by, funny how time does that.

We finally received moisture in the form of snow, much needed indeed.

It was still coming down when I got home from work.

Add another 5 or 6 on that table by morning but then subtract 8-10 by late afternoon as the warmer temps compressed the blanket of white..

Sam in her element (not the Honda)

Oh and wouldn't you know it, the delicate transplants arrived on the worst day for them to be outside. At least the UPS driver took the necessary precautions...

A couple of days before the snow, I was able to link up with BK for a great hike with the boys. Toro gives a Mike Tyson pre-fight stare as Duc hangs in the shadows.

and, a couple of days before that, I volunteered again to help time at the DOJoe up hill down hill memorial race/fundraiser. Lot's of fun and lot's of fast people ripping the course. I even found time to make some turns in the mashed potatoes.

And here is the plot for this year. I still need to construct the fence but you get the idea. It's bigger than it looks and heaps of work but always, always well worth it.

I recently purchased a DVD for 70% off that has a compilation of the Red Zinger and Coors Classic races from back in the day, it was pretty damn cool. It is like watching breaking away, only for real. Davis Phinney wins a sprint finish at North Boulder park on the last stage of one of the races 5 blocks from my old place. Quite the gem of a DVD but more on that later...adios
